Junior Achievement at Cleveland on
Wednesday, December 5.
Several volunteers from 3M participated in this event.

Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.

Junior Achievement has several highly effective programs for middle grades students that reinforce the value of workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Students are introduced to many economic concepts and useful facts about the working world.

from Hands On Twin Cities, 3M and the community will descend on Cleveland Junior High School, tools in hand, to help with landscaping, refurbishing of the playground and the painting of a mural. The painting will depict the school and community’s many cultures and will signify that when people walk through the school’s doors, they join the Cleveland Junior High School family

The event will culminate in the school’s Open House celebration.
The work is part of the September / October Corporate Month of Service,
a national initiative to increase community impact through corporate
leadership in volunteerism and community involvement. The volunteers want
to show that the pride that the community, students and staff members have in
their school will translate into a beautified, vibrant exterior.

This event was organized by Hands On Twin Cities.
