Cleveland Junior High School offers a program option for academically talented 7th, and 8th grade students that features challenging, year-long courses in math, English, science, social studies, and world languages (Spanish). One goal of the program is to prepare students for International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement Courses (AP) in high school. While at Cleveland,

math options include challenge 7 and 8. 7th grade challenge science students complete both 7th and 8th grade science courses in one academic year. Inquiry science is a 9th grade science option offered to 8th grade students who have completed Challenge 7th Grade Science or it's equivalent. Academic competition includes Math Team and Spelling Bee. Parents are welcome to be part

of a parent network that meets monthly, which focuses on meeting the social and emotional needs of gifted children.

Cleveland's G/T program is staffed with a gifte/talented contact person: Mrs. Susan Fourniea

G/T program focuses on the aptitudes of academically motivated students and challenges them intellectually.
